7. Federated Nodes

In addition to public P2P networks, ONLY NETWORK can also be deployed on the internal networks of multiple organizations or companies to enable decentralized communication within and between organizations. In this case, the organization’s clients can rely on only its internal nodes for security concerns. We refer to these nodes, which are managed by an organization in the internal network, as Federated Nodes.

7.1 On-premise Deployment

In practical applications, efficient and secure management of messages is a legitimate requirement for organizations and companies. To achieve this, ONLY NETWORK allows organizations to cache all offline messages of their members only with their private nodes, thus enabling organizations to manage messages locally and improve the efficiency and security of message processing.

7.2 Better Performance

A firewall usually protects servers among different organizations. While it improves security, it will also affect communication performance to some extent.ONLY NETWORK allows organizations to build an internal network through their private servers, thus achieving more efficient internal communication within the internal network and reducing the traffic pressure on the decentralized network between organizations.

7.3 Enable External Communication

Federated nodes serve as a bridge between the organization’s intranet and the outside world. Organizations can deploy nodes inside the firewall so that all of their clients’ communications will rely only on their inside nodes. This means that organizations can add their private nodes to the public edge network to serve more users, thus increasing the efficiency of server utilization.
